Indian Volleyball Men’s Team lost to South Korea, 
0-3 (23-25, 21-25, 25-27) in the Finals of the 4th AVC Cup for Men held at Almaty Kazakhstan.

India secured 2nd Position and Silver Medal in the event.

INDIA ENTER INTO FINALS OF AVC CUP
Indian Volleyball Men’s Team beat Iran, 3-1 (20-25, 29-27, 31-29, 27-25) in the Semi-Finals match and enter into Finals in the
4th AVC Cup for Men being held at Almaty Kazakhstan.

The Match was in high temperament, as both teams trying to win but at last our team succeeds in their goal.

In the history volleyball our Men team first ever reached in the Finals of an Asian event, which includes the Asia Cup, Asian Championship and Asian Games.

During the match Naveen Raja, Prabhakaran and Gurinder Singh performed extraordinarily. In the Block Navjit, Vaishnav and Lavmeet Kataria played a tremendous role. Setter and Captain Ranjit Singh and Ukkarapandian played a fantastic role in the wining of Indian team. In today's match we can't forget libero Kanagraj’s role, who shows his necessity in the team, when it is needed. Indian team took 2 hours 10 minutes to win this crucial match.

The substitutes during the match were utilized very intelligently by the Chief Coach Mr. G. E. Sridharan and all the changes made were successful.

The Volleyball Federation of India President Mr. Chaudhary Avadhesh Kumar, Secretary General Mr. Ramavtar Singh Jakhar and CEO, Dr. K. Murugan conveyed their congratulations to all the player's, Coaches and supporting staff for this unforgettable achievement.

INDIA will meet SOUTH KOREA tomorrow (24.8.2014) in the Finals.

India storm into Semi-Finals

 

 

We are pleased to inform that Indian Volleyball Men’s Team beat Thailand, 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 26-24) and enter into Semi Finals in the 4th AVC Cup for Men being held at Almaty Kazakhstan.

 

Mr. Prabhakaran,  Gurinder Singh and Naveen Raja Jacob played excellent game in attack and Mr. Navjit, Vaishnav and Lavmeet Kataria did extraordinarily well in block. Setter, Ukkarapandian and Libero, Kanagraj were played exceptional game.

 

Indian team is performing well under the guidance of Mr. G. E. Sridharan - Chief Coach and National Coach.

 

India will meet Iran in the Semi Final Match tomorrow (23.8.2014)

Indian Volleyball Men’s Team beat Japan, 3 – 0 (25-11, 27-25 and 25-23) on the 2nd day of the 4th AVC Cup for Men being held at Almaty, Kazakhstan.

From the Indian side NAVJIT, VAISHNAV in Block, GURINDER, PRABHAKARAN in attack along with setter UKKRAPANDIAN played excellent game.

Yesterday (18.8.2014) India beat host Kazakhstan in the inaugural match 3-0 (25-23,25-17,25-19) in the late night.

Tomorrow (20.08.2014) India will play against South Korea in their last Group match.
