BEFOREHAND INCENTIVE TO VOLLEYBALL TEAM


Padmashri Dr.B.Sivanthi Adityan, President, Volleyball Federation of India while releasing
the team at Tiruchendur, encouraged the players and announced an incentive of

Rs.1 Lakh (Rupees one lakh only) and the same was distributed immediately.


He also announced an amount of
Rs.15 Lakhs (Rupees fifteen lakhs),

if they come with Gold in the SAF Games to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from

29th January to 4th Feb 2010.


The players and officials cheered the announcement.

Indian Senior Men’s Coaching Camp – Tiruchendur (Tamilnadu) Speech by The President , VFI.

Indian Senior Men’s Team Coaching Camp is being held in Padmashree Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar Sports Complex Indoor Stadium at Tiruchendur for the 11 th South Asian Games to be held at Dhaka, Bangladesh from 29 th January to 04 th February 2010. The list of selected Players and Officials, who will represent India in the forthcoming South Asian Games, is enclosed.

All the facilities for the conduct of Coaching Camp are provided to the Team as per the requirements of Sports Authority of India.

The Volleyball Federation of India has engaged M/s Sports Mechanics, headed by
Mr. S. Ramkrishnan (Ramki) a Video Analyst for analyzing the individual performance of the players and to improve their skills.

The Federation has also engaged Mr. C. Krishna Prasad as Sports Psychologist to study and motivate the team.

These facilities are provided to the team for the first time in the Volleyball history and we hope to continue the same in future also.

The Video Analyst and the Sports Psychologist are presently with the team at Tiruchendur.

Dr. K.A. Parthiban, M.B.B.S., visited the Camp daily and a physiotherapist is also available and is giving treatment to the team regularly.

I am hopeful that that the team will perform well and secure Gold Medal in the ensuing South Asian Games.
